The date of her death is not known.

Fifth US President James Monroe's descendency from George Munro isexplained in the book "American Presidential Families with Political Essays by Hugh Brogan and Family Essays by Charles Mosley" on pages 269-271. The book does trace the same Munro/Monroe line as this family'sback to Donald Munro. George's oldest son John continues the baroncy ofFoulis while his second oldest, Hugh, of which our family descends begins the baroncy of Coul. George Munro is the 11th great grandfather to thepresident and is shown as quoted from the book here (note that there weremany abbreviations in this work and I have filled in all missing letters in parenthesis to avoid confusion:
It has been claimed with some plausibility (and was implied by Monroe himself in his autobiography) that the 5th President's male line ancestors stem from a younger branch of the Munros of Foulis, whose landslay along the north shore of the Cromarty Firth (a sea inlet) innortheast Scotland. However, even the most modern research in America isunable to trace Monroe's lineage back definitely beyond an Andrew Monroe, who had emigrated from Scotland to St. Mary's Co(unty) , Maryland, by1642 (the President in his autobiography says "about the year 1645")
