[328] Cristopher was born in Lancaster Co., but grew up in Centre Co., where he worked for a time as a cabinet maker. He later settled in Clearfield Co., buying 112 acres of woodland near Glen Hope. He cleared the land and built a log cabin. In 1855 he built a comfortable two story house andmade improvements on the land.
