There seems to be a serious error in line 246b-24 of Ancestral Roots,which has this Adeliza marrying Robert de Condet d. 1141, after hermarriage to Gilbert Fitz Richard. This does not agree with any otherlines, which have Robert de Condet's wife as Adeliza dau. of Ranulph leMeschin, Earl of Chester. The error in generation 24 is shown in thenext generation of this line (246b-25) which has Adeliza dau. of Ranulphmarrying first Richard Fitz Gilbert and then Robert de Condet. succeeded his mother at Weston-under-Lizard. He was m. in 1530, as a
minor, to Anne Skrimshire, dau of Thomas Skrymsher of Norbury, co.
Stafford, prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas, by, prob. Mary, dau.
of William Swineshead, of Swineshead, co Stafford. They had five sons and
five daus living in 1570.

Edward Harpesfield, his mother's eldet son and heir, called Harpesfield
alias Mitton and Mitton alias Harpesfield, was at Weston in 1544, when
his grandmother Mitton was still living. In 1530, when he was still a
minor, his grandfather Mitton had arranged a marriage for him with Ann
Skrymsher, dauof Thomas Skrymsher of Norbury, co Stafford, the contract
providing that if either bride or groom should die before the marriage
was consummated the next younger brother or sister would be substituted.
Ann's marriage portion was 160 marks and Edward's grandfather provided
her with a jointure of 20 marks a year. The marriage took place and Anne
brought him five sons and five daus who were living in 1570 when he
settled his estates, naming them all. Anne Mitton was last mention in
1565 but edward was still alive in 1583. His male descendants dropped
ther paternal name of Harpesfield and were know as Mitton.
Ancestry of Thom. Lewis and His Wife Eliz. Marshall of Saco, Maine by
Walter Goodwin Davis, of Portland, Maine, NEhGR Vol. 101 pg 81-91:
...came from a familywhich flourished in Shrewsbury in the fourteenth
century, ...ancestor Thomasde Mutton was baillif in 1352 and 1360 and
represented the town in Parliament in 1366. Thomas' grandson, Sir Richard
de Mytton, knight, by his marriage with Margaret de Pesale, daughter of
Sir Adam de Pesale, acquired the manor ofWeston-under-Lizard, co.
Stafford, which became the seat of many generationsof Myttons and is
still the home of their direct heir, the Earl of Bradford.Katherine
Mytton's great-great-grandmother, Constance Beaumont, who married John
Mytton of Weston, dowered her descendants with one of those fantastic
medieval ancestries, which, when the necessary link is proven, almost
bore the researcher with a spate of grandeur. All of the "points" desired
by specialists in medieval ancestry are there --- descents from King
Henry III (not so desirable as Edward III, to be sure), a Knight of the
Garter (John, Lord Beaumont), several sureties of Magna Carta and, of
course, from Charlemagne by numerous lines. The great houses of Berkeley,
Beauchamp, de Vere, Fitz Alan, Warrene, Despencer, Ferrers, Marshall, de
Clare, Neville, Mortimer and Zouche are all represented and many others
only less distinguished. Sir Walter Blount, who appears in Shakespeare's
"Henry IV", is there, and though his Spanish wife, Sacha de Ayala, there
is even a descent, we are told, from the Islamic Kings of Mecca!

Lothair (b. 941 - d. March 2, 986), Carolingian king of France from 954 to 986, the eldest son of Louis IV. He was elected king without opposition after his father's death but was dominated first by Hugh the Great and then, from 956 to 965, by his uncle, Bruno, archbishop of Cologne, whose support was invaluable, but who used his influence also in the interests of Otto I, his brother, the German king, and of Hugh Capet and the other sons of Hugh the Great, Bruno's nephews.
After Bruno's death, Lothair's position deteriorated. Although his relations with Hugh Capet were generally good, he had only a tiny domain and was much distracted by feudal conflict. Also, a persistent desire to get Lorraine from the German allegiance brought disastrous consequences: his support of a revolt there (976) against Otto II impelled the latter to give the duchy of Lower Lorraine to Lothair's refractory brother, Charles; Lothair's plan to capture Otto's family at Aachen (978) miscarried and provoked a realiatory raid into France; and a third invasion of Lorraine (985) not only failed in its purpose but determined the powerful Archbishop Adalbero of Reims to support Hugh Capet against Lothair. Lothair was, however, preparing yet another expedition into Lorraine when he died, to be succeeded by his son, Louis V. [Encyclopaedia Britannica]
