[370] Mary D. McCauley writes that a transcript of theMarion Co, death record for Helen says her father was *George* Thompson.This is apparently though to be an error by various other "cousins" shehas contacted. She does not have any other Helen Thompson's in herdatabase at all, and does not know what George she would be long to evenif a George were her father. Since the surety for Helen;s marriage wasClement Thompson, presumably her brother since brothers or fathers weremost often sureties, she does feel comfortable that Helen belongs toBennett "Slate" Thompson.
