2. Joseph2 Loomis Jr. (Joseph1)(4) was born in Messing, Co. Essex, England about 1615. Joseph died June 26, 1687 at 71 years of age.
He married twice. He married Sarah Hill September 17, 1646. Sarah died August 23, 1653. He married Mary Chauncey June 28, 1659. Mary died April22, 1681. He was made freeman 1654. He owned land granted by town ofWindsor, 1643, 12 rods, 6 ft wide, bord. South and East by Matthew Allyn, North by Joseph Loomis Sr., West by John Porter's lot. In 1660 he purchased land on the East side of the Conn. river, which he divided 1686 to sons Joseph and John.
The history of the Loomis family has been well documented. It is not always found as Loomis, though, sometimes found as Loomas, Lumax,Loomax,Lummis, and other variations.
Joseph Jr. - b.around 1615, On May 3, 1643 he had granted to him from thePlantation four acres of land, bounded on the north by his father's land,between 1675-1676 he served in the Windsor Troop of Horse in King Philip's War & was granted 6s 8d "on war account."
Information from the Mormon Family History Center indicated he had 4 other wives besides Sarah and Mary.

In Vol. I, of lands,in office of Sec'y of State ofCT, this entry occurs: "Joseph Lumas Jr. owner of land before 1653, Windsor, Conn.. 2. Ezra Perry, born 11 Feb.1652/3. died in Sandwich, Mass. 31 Jan. 1729/30. He m. about 1673 Rebecca Freeman, born about 1650, died in Sandwich 16 April 1738 (town records, vol. 1, p. 109), only dau. of Edmund Freeman, Jr. by his first wife, Rebecca Prence. Her grandparents were Gov. Thomas and Patience (Brewster) Prence. This Ezra Perry and his brothers John, Samuel and Benjamin were among the pioneer settlers of the section of North Sandwich which is not called Bournedale. He wasadmitted "freeman" of Sandwich in 1677 and in 1678 took the Oath of Fidelity.
The will of "Ezra Perry, Senr. of the Town of Sandwich ... yeoman," dated21 Oct 1728, gives to his wife Rebecca use and improvement of all real and personal estate and after her decease or second marriage "other bequests as follow:" "to my son Ebenezer Perry" all upland, meadow, swampy meadow in Rochester during life, and then to his eldest son. To "son Ezra Perry" land before the door of "my dwelling house" and one-half of the land "on the south east side of the country road which I lately held in partnership with my brethren, but now divided," one-third "my Creek Stuff meadow," land included with it and "my wood lot." To "my son Samuel Perry, all my homestead where I now dwell and my meadow on the Northerly side of Manument River, Alias Herring River and one-half my land on the South East side of the Country Road, which I lately partitioned with my brethren, one-half right in the cedar swamp and one-third my Creek Stuff meadow, land inclosed with it & in the neck adjoining to the 8 acres my father formerly gave me and my lot in the last division of Common lands in Sandwich," to son Samuel for life, then to his eldest son surviving, also "blacksmith tools, bellows, a yoke of oxen." To "my daughter Mary a bed & coverlet and one cow." To "my daughter Hannah 2 sheep." To "the three children of my daughter Rebecca by her husband Jonathan Washburn" 10 shillingsto each child.
