Martha Cogan was born in 1648 at Taunton, New Plymouth Col., MA. She was the daughter of Thomas Coggan. Martha Cogan married Sgt. Peter Buell, sonof William Buell and Mary Post, on 31 March 1670 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Martha Cogan died on 22 May 1686 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

Martha Cogan was the daughter of Thomas Cogan of Taunton, Massachusetts.Hers is the oldest tombstone in Simsbury, Connecticut.
