The other 6 ships of theWinthropFleet sailed in May and arrived in July, bringing altogetherabout 700 passengers. Not being satisfied with the prospects of Salem, the colonists soon moved onto Charlestown and thence to Watertown wherethey settled.
Isaac Stearns settled near Mount Auburn. In 1642,his homelot was boundedon the E by Pequusett Meadow, apart of which he owned. He was admittedfreeman 5/18/1631; he was a selectman for several years.
