1643: Hannah removed with her parents to Rehoboth, Massachusetts.

"The court having consideredthe premises, declare that the said Hannah Hewitt is at liberty to marryagain if she see cause."

She andneighbors testified that not a word had been heard of Captain ThomasHewitt or his vessel or his company from the time they left eight yearsbefore. The court granted Hannah's petition.
