Helen Lucille Sawyer married a young teacher who had come to Fairview, and
whose ambition was to own a newspaper, so they bought the Fairview ENTERPRISE.
Harold Palmer was then killed in an automobile accIDent in 1935, and Helen
continued to run the newspaper for several years. She later married Merle
Fish after she sold the paper.
