Mentioned in the will of his father and brother as "Robert the Older,"
born probably in Hillfarrance about 1550, married before 1578, Alice (?)who died in South Petherton, buried August 22, 1596. Robert is firstmentioned in South Petherton, July 4, 1573, when he is a witness and oneof the overseers of the willof John Thorne of that place. He wasChurchwarden there, 1578. He was buried Sept. 7, 1600, as "Robert White,senior." His will provedat Taunton, but lost
